There is an inner power which, when discovered within, frees one from reliance on force to exist in this world. I express this in my sumi-e artworks inspired by poetry or quotations from various sources.

The contemplative depth of silence is a gateway to intuitive knowingness that alleviates fear, the basis of so much of the chaos and turmoil in the world at this time. From that point one may act in the world with compassion and caring instead of feeling a need to erect barriers against fellow human beings.
