Brush. Ink. White paper. You think, “I wonder if…” This is your invitation to try your own hand at creating from the heart. Trust yourself as I help guide you on your path of artful discovery. After a little dharma talk and time for questions, comments, we  center (meditate), grounding ourselves; then we explore what might be soulfully expressed through you with ink and brush on paper. Join me for this delightful evening of exploration, painting, and the ancient craft of Sumi e made modern through guided meditation and creation.

On Tuesday, May 7, 2019, Marilyn Wells presents “Finding Your Heart and Soul in Sumi e Brushwork” at Walker Fine Art, 300 West 11th Ave #A , Denver, CO 80204. 6-8 p.m. Registration Cost $45. Registration is now open. Go to marilynwells.com, down at the bottom in the Store, find the Note About Workshop, May 7, 2019. Beside it you can click on “Buy Now” to go directly to Paypal. what we will do

For this first evening, all materials will be provided for you to use. In addition, I will give you a  supply list of brushes and other materials for going forwards. We are fortunate to have with us on the evening of May 7 Khris from Red Herring Art Supply, the one and only top supplier of sumi e in the Denver and Colorado area. She will have some brushes, ink, and paper available that evening if you wish to purchase for future work.

follow up sessions

These will be explored on opening night, arrangements to be determined. You may want to bring your credit card either for those and/or for your own opportunity to purchase appropriate art supplies for your future in sumi e brushwork!
